Kinship/About

Built for moms, by moms.

We found our people the hard way. We're building Kinship so the next moms don't have to.

01 — Why we're building this

We're building the app we wish we had.

Elaine had just moved to a new city when she found out she was pregnant. She didn't know many other pregnant women, and the giant online groups everyone pointed her toward felt impersonal — thousands of strangers, no one she'd confide in.

Eventually, through friends-of-friends and a lot of manual asking around, she got added to a small due-date group. That's where everything changed. A handful of women, the same number of weeks along, who grew into genuine friends. Real connection, finally.

The idea for Kinship came out of that experience — realizing just how much work it had taken to find that group, and how many moms never do.

“Once I was in a group of women due the same week as me, everything got easier. I just wish someone had handed me that group on day one.”

Kinship exists to make that process easier — so no mom or mom-to-be has to struggle to find connection and support. A small circle of women near you, at the same stage, ready to go through this journey together.

02 — The Founders

Two moms, one mission.

Working to make sure no mom has to do this alone.
