Questions, answered.
Everything you might want to know before joining — how matching works, what it costs, and how we keep your circle a safe place.
What Kinship is, and who it's for.
Kinship is a village reimagined for the modern mom. We match you with a small, curated circle of women in your neighborhood who are navigating the exact same stage of motherhood as you.
Whether you're trading midnight voice memos or meeting for a backyard playdate, Kinship is about real-world friendship.
Your first 60 days are on us. After that, we charge a $5.99 monthly membership — about the cost of one latte a month to have a village at your fingertips.
This fee allows us to stay completely ad-free and dedicated to your privacy. We believe a support system should be a safe space, not a product.
Every path into motherhood is real and welcome. Kinship is for expecting moms, new moms, and experienced moms — including those navigating adoption, fostering, and the journey to motherhood.
If you're looking for your people, you belong here.
How we find your circle.
Once you download the app and answer a few quick questions about your location and stage, our algorithm goes to work. Within 48 hours, you'll be matched with a small group of moms in your neighborhood who we think you'll hit it off with.
We don't just match by zip code. We look at birth months, children's ages, and shared interests to ensure your circle is truly walking the same road as you.
Friendship is personal. If you feel your current circle isn't quite the right match, you can request to join a new one at any time. We're here to help you find the women you actually click with.
A walled garden, by design.
Never. Kinship is a walled garden. Your name, photo, and posts are only visible to verified members within the community — never to the public, and never indexed by search engines.
Every member is verified by phone and email before they are matched. We have a zero-tolerance policy for drama or judgment, and a real human on our team reviews every report within 24 hours.
What it actually feels like.
We keep circles small and intimate. While the exact number varies by neighborhood, they are always sized for real conversation — not a noisy broadcast.
Currently, each mom joins one primary Kinship circle. As we grow, we plan to allow moms to join additional circles for each of their children.
The app is built to move you offline. You can easily suggest meetup times, coordinate group events at local spots, and send private messages to coordinate the boring logistics of getting together.
